Melanie is passionate about sharing her wealth of knowledge to assist professionals in broadening their understanding about complex psychological issues, their root causes and attachment science. To facilitate this, Melanie provides workshops, training sessions and lectures to the Social Service Departments, guardians, judges, barristers, solicitors, university graduates and undergraduates.
Melanie also lectures on an MSc in Attachment Studies at Roehampton University on the correlation between individual ‘schemas’ and their attachment strategies, and forensic practice in family law and has done so for a number of years. Her work places an emphasis on understanding the often complex history behind an existing family dynamic, on the basis that a child cannot be assessed in vacuum, nor can parents and adults be understood separately from their children, other family members and their family history.
